Something I learned today is to just breathe. Sometimes you don’t even realize that you’re holding your breath but once you start to breathe everything gets better.
Just had an hour long skype conversation with Paolo. It was so nice to hear his voice and see his face! The power of technology I tell ya. I miss Peru.
Today I’m thankful for all the people who have given and shown me so much love my entire life. I truly feel lucky to have so many wonderful people around me. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without all of these beautiful people and I’m so grateful for them.
The sun in shining and life is so good. I’m glad to be alive today.
Teresa & I meeting The Perks of Being A Wallflower’s “Charlie” and Percy Jackson’s title character, Logan Lerman, in downtown Vancouver today.
Just like many of his other photos with fans, he loves to troll and make intentionally derpy faces… hahah.
I’m still sort of in disbelief.
Teresa and I
(I’m the one wearing the beanie)meeting 3/4s of The Fray!
AIJEFLSDKJF, saw a double rainbow today! :O
I don’t usually post this kind of stuff on here, but I want to remember this day because it’s a day of firsts.
Finally, a picture from my trip to Peru! My sister took this picture of me in front of the classic view
(or so they say) of Machu Picchu. To get to Machu Picchu, we hiked the four day Inca Trail, which was pretty much the coolest thing I’ve ever done. Hiking the Inca Trail should be on everyone’s bucket list!
I think the most important lesson I learned that week was that the journey is often more important than the destination. While seeing Machu Picchu after all that hiking was really amazing, the entire journey getting there was pretty freaking awesome too. It definitely tested my physical and mental boundaries, made me realize that I’m not as weak as I think I am, and allowed me to bond some more with my crazy sister ♥. And holy crap, the scenery! I thought I had seen mountains before but let me tell you, the Andes are so beautiful!
Thinking back on it now, it all seems like a dream. I miss it a lot and would love to go back and visit Peru one day.
I think I’m gonna start doing some “nostalgic diary-entry” posts. I suck at keeping journals and I have a horrible long-term memory, so I’m gonna try using tumblr to keep track of memorable/nostalgic events that happen/happened! I usually don’t write stuff on tumblr cause I feel like I can never really get my point across but I already have one “Dear Diary” entry finished so hopefully this works out. :)
